Logistics

Here you can find dossiers and reports about specific issues connected to the infrastructures of the region and logistics.
For example, here are included analisysis on airports and their market trends, transportation systems in one or more countries, the inland waterway systems in a region or a basin and energy infrastructures related issues.
The reader can find suggestions and analysis usefull to have an insight on specific, as well as general, issues with regard to logistics in Central Eastern and Balkan Europe.

  1. Presentation of the research study “Per un Polo di sviluppo dell’Alto Adriatico”

    On July 22nd, 2009, the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Franco Frattini, presented a research project entitled "Per un Polo di sviluppo dell’Alto Adriatico" in Trieste. The reserach was carried out by a group of young researchers of the Istituto per l'Europa Centro-Orientale e Balcanica, supervised by prof. Francesco Privitera.  

     

  2. Il progtto nabucco e la competizione russa

    Mentre l'unione Europea prova a portare a compimento il progetto del gasdotto Nabucco, che dovrebbe portare gas dall'Asia centrale all'Europa centro-occidentale, si fa più serrata la conceorrenza di analoghi progetto promossi dalla Russia. Primo fra tutti il gasdotto South Stream, basato su rotte ed approvvigionamenti alternativi.

     

  3. Le dinamiche del mercato del gas in Polonia e i futuri progetti nazionali nel settore del gas

    Il settore rimane fortemente centralizzato, la PGNiG S.A svolge direttamente o indirettamente, tramite le società da essa controllate, tutte le attività sopra nominate, controllando complessivamente il 98% del mercato del gas in Polonia. Di fronte alla mancanza di una completa concorrenza, i prezzi del mercato vengono regolati ed approvati dall’Ufficio di Regolamento dell’Industria Energetica.

     

  4. The Pan-European Corridor V: commercial and economical implications

    The ongoing Europen integration is partially committed to economic development of outlying areas. In this respect, the Pan-European Corridor V is an opportunity for the European economy, wich requires better transport connections. The European Commission thinks the project as an advantage for the European commercial competitiveness and its foreign role.

     

  5. Progetto nabucco e Turchia: prospettive e problematiche

    Il progetto Nabucco nasce nel 2002 da un accordo tra le principali compagnie appartenenti al settore energetico di Turchia, Austria, Bulgaria, Romania, Ungheria, alle quali si è aggiunta, nel gennaio scorso, la RWE, compagnia tedesca. I 3.300 km di gasdotto che, dal 2015, faranno confluire il gas proveniente dai due terminali georgiano e iraniano fino all’Austria, dovrebbero rappresentare un primo tentativo di allontanare l’Unione Europea dalla dipendenza dalle forniture di gas russe.
